Getting to Yes in Healthcare: Using Conflict Management Skills to Resolve Ethics Cases & Promote Quality of Care-Thursday

This clinical ethics seminar is presented by Charity Scott, JD, MSCM, director for the Center for Law Health & Society and Catherine C. Henson Professor of Law at Georgia State University, at 5:00 p.m. in Emory’s Center for Ethics, Seminar Room 162. Many conflicts in healthcare between providers and patients or their families can raise difficult ethical questions. Furthermore, The Joint Commission has identified conflict management throughout the healthcare organization as a critical component of ensuring the quality and safety of patient care.  This seminar will provide an overview of significant developments in conflict engagement in healthcare.
