ACTSI-Supported Work Published

Details of a new titanium coating which will strengthen joint replacements were reported in the August 18 issue of the journal Science Translational Medicine. The research was supported by the NIH, the Arthritis Foundation, and the ACTSI through the Georgia Tech/Emory Center for the Engineering of Living Tissues. ACTSI pilot grant recipient and Emory SOM assistant professor, Yerkes National Primate Research Center, Dr. Anthony Chan’s ACTSI-supported work (Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells of Rhesus Monkey) was recently published in the journal Cellular Reprogramming.
