Poor growth during gestation may point to continued growth problems among children with chronic kidney disease, researchers found. Larry A. Greenbaum, MD, PhD, of Emory University and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and an ACTSI investigator, reported with colleagues that low birth weight and small for gestational age independently predicted short stature and underweight later in childhood in this population.
