2011 NIH Director's Award Program: New Innovator Award Funding Opportunities-Due September 20
The award is part of the NIH Common Fund and supports exceptionally creative scientists who take highly innovative, potentially high-impact approaches to major challenges in biomedical or behavioral research. New Innovator Awards provide up to $1.5 million in direct costs over five years and are for early stage investigators. NIH expects to make at least 33 New Innovator Awards in summer 2011.
