Laboratory for Sleep, Aging and Chronobiology (LSAC)

The Clinical Interaction Network (CIN) of the ACTSI is pleased to announce the addition a new clinical interaction site. The Laboratory for Sleep, Aging and Chronobiology (LSAC), under the leadership of Donald Bliwise, PhD (dbliwis@emory.edu, 404.728.4751) is located on the main floor of the Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital and is a self-contained, controlled-access, 1,400 sq. ft., in-patient facility containing four private bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a lounge, an exam room and technologist area.  LSAC is the only sleep laboratory in the U.S. located in a dedicated, full-service geriatric hospital.  The mission of the LSAC is to elucidate mechanisms and treatment of sleep and sleep-related disorders in aged populations using translational methodologies extending from polysomnographic measures of non-human primates to clinical populations with known or suspected disease to more representatively sampled human populations.

If you are a clinical investigator and would like to utilize this site through a CIN supported mechanism, please go to the ACTSI website http://www.actsi.org/areas/cin/protocol_submission/index.html, and follow protocol submission instructions. If you have questions that need to be answered, please contact the site specific director (contact information listed above) or Debora Clem, CIN Program Manager, 404.712.1993 or dclem@emory.edu.
