ACTSI investigator and Georgia Cancer Coalition scholar Dr. Susan Bauer-Wu (Emory School of Nursing and Winship Cancer Institute) has been inducted as a fellow in the Academy of Nursing. A leader in palliative and integrative medicine, she is currently conducting a large NIH-funded clinical trial analyzing whether meditation affects subjective symptoms as well as objective findings such as level of stress hormones and time required for recovery of white blood cells following bone marrow transplant.
